Overview
The combinations of your own private wooden-lodge situated within an idyllic setting of wildlife and tropical jungle make this a must for any traveller in search of a little 'time-out'.
The lodge is nestled in a beautiful valley within the Doi Mon Larn mountain range and surrounded by lush tropical evergreen forest, rich in both animal and plant species. The climatic conditions are favorable all year round. The early morning mist that serendipitously hangs over the forest canopy is a natural treat worth waking up for.
The choice of accommodation is varied and can accommodate for both small and large groups. Each wooden cabin comes with its own refrigerator, TV and DVD player (DVDs can be hired for free from the clubhouse).
Being surrounded by pristine tropical forests the lodge is also a great base for exploration for trekking and nature walks as well as a trip on the Flight of The Gibbon Zip-Line Canopy Tours, which is only a short drive from the lodge
Canopy Adventure Zip Line Tours
As part of your trip to the lodge there is the option of experiencing the Flight of the Gibbon Zip Line experience. The zip line experience is for both adrenalin seekers and those interested in getting up close and personal with nature. The overall zip line course spans a total distance of 2km and involves an interconnected network of rope bridges, platforms and ladders that take you high up into the jungle canopy of an ancient tropical forest - an experience like no other.
Mineral pool Hot Springs & handicrafts
En route to the Lodge, you can also visit Thai silk village where you will learn about the Thai silk making process then walk around the umbrella handicrafts village.
Having spent the first part of the morning on your feet, you are then taken to the Hot-Springs, where you can soothe away any aches or pains in the hot foot-pools or instead choose to bathe in the mineral baths.
Clubhouse
The Clubhouse is the centre point of the lodge and affords a stunning panoramic view of the tropical gardens. The clubhouse has a fully functioning restaurant, which serves a wide selection of Thai and Western food and is open all day for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The clubhouse also has a coffee corner, selling both coffee, cakes and ice cream as well as smoothies and alcohol. Free internet and WIFI is available at the clubhouse.
Couples
Tharn Thong lodge is also the perfect getaway for couples as it provides the perfect setting for intimacy and romance as well as the opportunity to get up close and personal with nature.

WOW WOW WOW. I was speechless when we arrived at Tharn Thong Lodge. It is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The views are breathtaking. The accomodation is rustic and really unique. Just loved it. Perfect to chill out. Alex was 12/10 host/guide for us and the gorgeous lady who runs Tharn Thong. Love the bunnies hopping around too. That was an added bonus. A standout holiday destination for me

If nostalgia creeps in for a place that I still miss in Thailand, it's my memorable stay at Tharn Thong Lodge. It is a place out of this world. I visited there alone starting one afternoon till the next morning. I don't want to thank Orient Xplorer for this because thanking will be too small a gesture for this. Alex and Oppy perhaps read my mind and offered me to stay there. It is a place for soul searching and embracing the lush green nature around you. Watching a sunny golden day melting on the surrounding hills, a river telling me its hundred tales as it flows away, a starry night with shooting stars reminding me that "life is not a dress rehearsal, this is it" and a misty morning with its sound of silence...I'll never forget. Family or alone, it is a place for finding solitude and peace in life. It's thousands of miles away from where I am in Canada, but I am always there when I see from my window last rays of the setting sun kissing top of the trees or I stroll along a soft snowy path on a wintry day...
After what I said, I don't think I need to say anything more about this place. If you are in Thailand, please make sure you stay in Tharn Thong lodge; it's an experience you will never forget.
