A marvelous mix of mountains and mother nature. Doi Angkhang is a perfect getaway for nature lovers and those who want to experience a mountain-escape with a difference.
Angkhang Nature Resort, under the Royal Project, was first opened at the end of 1997. Since then the resort has been receiving a large number of both domestic and international visitors, in particular during the winter months, when temperate-climate flowers are in full bloom, showing off Angkhang natural assets to the full.
The height of Doi Angkhang is 1,900 metres above sea level, resulting in low temperature throughout the year, particularly low during winter months Nov -Jan when temperatures at night can drop as low as 0 degrees C. Guests can visit throughout the year, although the best time to visit is from Mid October – March.
There are numerous activities on offer to visitors of Doi Angkhang including;
- Mountain Biking
- Bird Watching
- Visiting the Royal Agricultural Project
